Berlin Against Pinkwashing at CSD parade!
Wir haben heute erfolgreich die Eröffnungsrede des israelischen Botschafters auf dem Berliner CSD gestört! Yakov hatte mit seiner Rede keine Chance gegen unser Rufen, und wir haben deutlich gemacht, dass auf unserer Parade kein Platz für Pinkwashing ist!
Neben uns gab es eine kleine Gegendemonstration von wenigen Leuten, die – obwohl im Vorfeld versprochen, friedlich gegen uns zu protestieren – schnell auf Gewalt zurückgriffen, als ihnen klar wurde, dass wir ihnen zahlenmäßig weit überlegen und zudem lauter waren. Wir wurden geschlagen, geschubst und unsere Plakate wurden mit Gewalt zerstört. Ein maßgeblicher Beteiligter dieser Aggressionen gegen uns war der Senatsabgeordnete Oliver Höffighoff von der Linken. All diese Ereignisse sind auf den Fotos und dem Video dokumentiert. Insgesamt war es ein äußert erfolgreicher Tag und eine unglaublich erfolgreiche Woche. Danke an alle Beteiligten* für die Liebe, die Unterstützung und die Solidarität!
Today we successfully interrupted the Israeli ambassador’s speech at the Berlin CSD! Yakov was unable to speak over our chanting “no pride in CSD until Palestine is free!” and we were there to tell everyone that there is NO place for #pinkwashing at our parade!
We were also joined by a small counter-demonstration, who although promised to try to disturb us “peacefully”, resorted to violence when they realised that we far outnumbered them and were much louder than them. We were hit, pushed, had our banners broken and had water thrown on us (this included DIE LINKE. Berlin Oliver Höffinghoff). Unbelievably they were even chanting “lang lebe Israel!”. All this can be seen from the photos and video!
Overall its been a hugely successful day and a massively successful week. Thanks so much to everyone for the love, support, and solidarity

Saturday July 23 2016 … come along to the CSD 2016 parade and join us to show that we stand in solidarity with our LGBTIQ* sisters and brothers in Palestine against the Israeli occupation, against Islamophobia and against racism.
Berlin Against Pinkwashing will be at the CSD PRIDE parade on Sunday to remind the party-goers AND the organisers that whilst they’re celebrating how liberal and tolerant the State of Israel is, the wall around Gaza still fences Palestinians into the world’s largest open air prison. Palestians are being deprived of a life of liberty and basic human rights across occupied Gaza and West Bank.
PRIDE is a protest, to represent the unrepresented, to give a voice to the silenced.
