Aufruf aus Gaza: Heraus am Samstag dem 9. August zum Tag des Zorns

Da wir der vollen Macht des israelischen Militärarsenals – finanziert von der USA und der Europäischen Union – gegenüber stehen, rufen wir die Zivilgesellschaft und alle Menschen, die nach ihrem Gewissen handeln, weltweit auf, Druck auf die Regierungen auszuüben, Sanktionen gegen Israel zu verhängen und sofort ein umfassendes Waffenembargo zu verhängen.

Geht am Samstag den 9. August auf die Straße

und fordert Sanktionen gegen Israel!

Der Horror der Invasion, der Bombardierungen und der fortgesetzten Blockade Gazas ist nicht in Worte zu fassen. Die Medikamente und andere medizinische Versorgungsgüter sind ausgegangen. Die Zahl der Opfer betrug am 5. August bereits 1813 Getötete (398 Kinder, 207 Frauen, 74 alte Menschen) und 9370 Verletzte (2744 Kinder, 1750 Frauen, 343 alte Menschen). Unsere Krankenhäuser, Ambulanzen und medizinisches Personal werden zum Ziel von Angriffen. Ärzte und Sanitäter werden getötet während sie versuchen, Tote und Verletzte zu evakuieren. Unsere Toten sind keine bloßen Nummern und Statistiken, die gezählt werden, sie sind geliebte Menschen, Familienangehörige und Freunde.

Während wir diese diesen Angriff überleben müssen, habt ihr die Macht, sein Ende zu bewirken – genauso wie ihr dazu beigetragen habt, die Apartheid zu überwinden und andere Verbrechen gegen die Menschlichkeit zu beenden. Israel kann diesen Angriff nur Dank der unerschütterlichen Unterstützung anderer Regierungen ausführen. Diese Unterstützung muss beendet werden!

Dies ist das dritte Massaker an uns innerhalb von sechs Jahren. Selbst wenn wir nicht massakriert werden, sind wir unter Belagerung, einer illegalen Kollektivbestrafung der ganzen Bevölkerung. Fischer werden beschossen und getötet, wenn sie es wagen, außerhalb der Drei-Meilen-Zone zu fischen, die Israel einseitig verhängt hat. Bauern werden bei der Ernte in der ebenfalls einseitig von Israel verhängten Grenzzone erschossen. Gaza ist seit 2006 zu einem einzigen großen Gefängnis geworden. Wir wollen, dass dieses beispiellose Verbrechen gegen die Menschlichkeit, das mit der Unterstützung eurer Regierungen begangen wird, dieses mal endgültig beendet wird!

Wir bitten nicht um Almosen. Wir verlangen Solidarität, denn solange Israel nicht isoliert und sanktioniert wird, wird sich dieser Horror fortsetzen und wiederholen.

Während uns die Nachrichten von Massenprotesten vor israelischen Botschaften in aller Welt Hoffnung gemacht haben, drängen wir euch, nach Wochen von Protesten eure Aktionen noch zu intensivieren. Besetzt israelische Botschaften, fordert israelische und andre Offizielle, die die derzeitige Aggression gegen Gaza unterstützen, heraus, wann immer sie in der Öffentlichkeit auftreten. Macht Sit-Ins in Regierungsgebäuden.
Boykottiert alle israelischen Produkte und ergreift Aktionen gegen Firmen, die von Israels System der Kolonialisierung, Besatzung und Apartheid profitieren. Demonstriert an Boykottzielen in euren Städten und klärt die Öffentlichkeit auf über die Komplizenschaft von Firmen bei dem anhaltenden militärischen Angriff und der illegalen Belagerung von Gaza.
Palästinensische Gewerkschaften rufen unsere Genoss_innen in der internationalen Gewerkschaftsbewegung dazu auf, sich zu weigern, Güter, die aus Israel importiert oder nach Israel exportiert werden, zu bearbeiten und zu transportieren. Die Gewerkschaftsbewegung hat eine stolze Geschichte direkter Aktionen gegen die Apartheid in Südafrika und der Kongress der Südafrikanischen Gewerkschaften hat sich unserem Aufruf zu direkten Aktionen für ein Ende von Israels Straflosigkeit angeschlossen.

As we face the full might of Israel’s military arsenal, funded and supplied by the United States and European Union, we call on civil society and people of conscience throughout the world to pressure governments to sanction Israel and implement a comprehensive arms embargo immediately.

Take to the streets on Saturday 9 August with a united demand for sanctions on Israel.

From Gaza under invasion, bombardment, and continuing siege, the horror is beyond words. Medical supplies are exhausted. The death toll has reached 1813 killed (398 children, 207 women, 74 elderly) and 9370 injured (2744 children, 1750 women, 343 elderly). Our hospitals, ambulances, and medical staff are all under attack while on duty. Doctors and paramedics are being killed while evacuating the dead. Our dead are not numbers and statistics to be recounted; they are loved ones, family and friends.

While we have to survive this onslaught, you certainly have the power to help end it the same way you helped overcome Apartheid and other crimes against humanity. Israel is only able to carry out this attack with the unwavering support of governments – this support must end.

This is our third massacre in six years. When not being slaughtered, we remain under siege, an illegal collective punishment of the entire population. Fishermen are shot and killed if they stray beyond a 3 km limit imposed unilaterally by Israel. Farmers are shot harvesting their crops within a border area imposed unilaterally by Israel. Gaza has become the largest open-air prison, a concentration camp since 2006. This time, we want an end to this unprecedented crime against humanity committed with the complicity and support of your own governments!

We are not asking for charity. We are demanding solidarity, because we know that until Israel is isolated and sanctioned, these horrors will be repeated.

While news of all the mass protests outside Israel’s embassies around the world have given us hope, after weeks of protests, we urge you to intensify your actions. Occupy Israeli embassies, challenge Israeli officials (and others) supporting the current aggression against Gaza whenever they appear in public and stage sit-in in government buildings.
Boycott all Israeli products and take action against corporations profiting from Israel’s system of colonialism, occupation and apartheid. March to boycott targets in your city and educate the public about companies complicit in Israel’s ongoing military assault and illegal siege of Gaza.
Palestinian trade unions are calling on our brothers and sisters in the trade union movement internationally to stop handling goods imported from or exported to Israel. The trade union movement has a proud history of direct action against Apartheid in South Africa, the Congress of South African Trade Unions has joined us in the call for direct action to end Israel’s impunity.
